Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone

We serve people of every age and ability, so this website is designed to be easy to see, read, and operate — however you browse.

Our commitment

MSIS Inc. is committed to making msis.us accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard widely referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What we've built in

  • Adjustable text size. Use the A / A / A control at the top of every page to enlarge the text; your choice is remembered on your next visit.
  • Large, readable type and high contrast. Body text is generously sized, and color combinations are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios.
  • Full keyboard support. Every menu, link, button, form field, accordion, and tool can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are. A "Skip to main content" link appears when you start tabbing.
  • Screen-reader friendly. Pages use proper headings and landmarks, images have text descriptions, form fields have clear labels, and results from our calculators are announced as they appear.
  • Respects your settings. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are minimized. The site reflows cleanly when zoomed and on phones and tablets.
  • An accessible alternative to the map. The Find-an-Agent map is a visual aid; the same agents are always available as a searchable, fully keyboard-operable list with direct contact details.

Ongoing testing

We test with automated accessibility tools and keyboard review as part of building and updating the site. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to fix issues as we find them.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site rely on third-party services (such as web fonts and a ZIP-code lookup used by the agent search). If one of these is briefly unavailable, the site is designed to remain readable and usable. If you encounter any barrier we haven't caught, please tell us — see below.
